Apple Cider Donuts
This is a Mudhustler recipe. Here is the link to his recipe https://themudhustler.com/donuts
Here is the recipe and my version:
2 scoops Devotion Nutrition Angel Food Cake protein powder
1 cup Kodiak Cakes buttermilk high protein pancake mix
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp apple pie spice
1/4 cup Sukrin gold brown sugar alternative
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup spiced apple cider (Trader Joe's brand)
1 cup water
Mix and spoon into 12 regular sized donut pans
Makes 12 servings
Bake 375° for 25 minutes (this is longer than original recipe)
I rubbed some Truvia sugar substitute on the tops of the warm donuts.
Each donut is WW 1 point and 6.6 carbs.
Compare that to other apple cider donuts that are 14 to 16 WW points!
These don't taste exactly like a regular donut BUT they are really good and because of the high protein they are very filling. Enjoy!
